October's GlossyBox Review!

28

Hey Everyone!

It's that time again, I'm here to give you my review of this months GlossyBox!
I have to apologise in advance for being really lazy/busy because I actually received my box around 2 weeks ago.

The theme for this months box was "Dark Romance" which suits the whole Autumn vibe I guess, and I was looking forward to it. The box was a plain really light, baby pink colour with black inside. Which I liked! So I will probably keep this months box. It came with the usual mini magazine this months was entitled "GLOSSY magazine" it again just had some discount codes for various things,editor's letter,interviews,trends and loads more detailed info on your products.

The five products I received this month:

MeMeMe Cherub's Blush - Cheek & Lip Tint(12ml):
This is the first full size product in this months box. When I seen it was a cheek&lip tint I was delighted because I've wanted to try lip tints for a while now and this gave me the chance to finally do it. I have to admit I had never heard of the brand and when I seen the price I was a bit worried it was going to be really "cheap and nasty". I did however give it the benefit of the doubt and tried it on my lips. I haven't tried it on my cheeks because I am very loyal to baked/powder blusher and don't intend on straying any time soon (sorry!) I applied 2/3 coats onto my lips and let them dry for a minute or two, it actually amazed my expectations because I went out to dinner that night and it lasted forever and I was eating & drinking. Also it was a really strong/lovely colour at the end result (Swatch on my lips below) The scent was also pretty sweet it smelt to me like Turkish delight, weird haha! Over all I had no problems with this product and It will probably last me quite a while! Will I be re-purchasing it in the future? hmmm, not sure yet. It is however a possibility! Don't always judge a product by it's price haha. The full size product costs £5.50 from http://www.mememecosmetics.co.uk/

Katy Perry - Killer Queen Fragrance(1.5ml):
I didn't actually know Katy Perry had a new fragrance coming out until I received this sample in my box. I know she has two other fragrances "Purr & Meow" I believe which I haven't sampled so this was a first Katy Perry fragrance for me. I was awfully disappointed with the actual size of the sample given, because lets be honest you can pick these size samples up at any Boots,Superdrug etc for FREE! compared to the sample size in last months box this was poor. Nonetheless I really,really LOVE this fragrance! The bottle design is beautiful and it has three levels of scents all combined together. Top - Dark Plum,Wild Berry,Bergamont. Heart/middle - Red Velvet Flowers,Rainbow Plumeria,Natural Jasmine Sambac. Base - Cashmeran,Natural Patchouli Heart,Liquid Praline. I will without a doubt be purchasing the full size bottle ASAP or hopefully Santa will bring me it! Full size bottle costs £29.50 for 50ml at Boots,Superdrug,The Perfume Shop and The Fragrance Shop.

 Monu - Illuminating Primer (20ml):
I have never heard of Monu so I'm always excited to try products from new brands! I love primer because it always works wonders on my skin before I put my foundation/make-up on, sadly this product just wasn't a hit for me. It was a decent size sample and the packaging was great. I tried the primer out it didn't really have a strong smell but it came out very thick and it took me forever to rub it into my skin and even then my skin looked very shiny. In the end I gave it to my mum haha! The full size product costs £24.95 for 50ml at www.monushop.co.uk

 Premae - Multi-vit Smoothie Serum(20ml):
Again I have never heard of Premae and as always love to try out products from brands I don't know. Premae is apparently the world's first allergy-free brand. I must say this product smelt fabulous and the sample size was good! Unfortunately I didn't hit it off with this product either. Just didn't do anything for me at all (sorry!) I also ended up giving this to my mum. The full size product costs £22.50 for 50ml from www.premaeskincare.com/shop

Eva Cosmentics - Mystic Diamond Argonoil:
I have tried a sample of this product before and I adored it and promised myself I'd buy the full size in the future but forgot all about it until I received it in my box. I was extremely happy with the sample size much bigger than my previous sample! YAY!! I totally recommend this product! Put this on your hair after you have towel dried it, then blow dry your hair and apply more if you need to. It makes my hair soft,frizz-free and smelling heavenly. This product is especially amazing for someone with hair like mines, which can be very dry,flat & frizzy at times. The full size product costs £22.90 for 100ml from Eva Cosmetics

My Overall Opinion Of This Months Box:
I actual am a little disappointed with this months box. Maybe because of the lack of full size products? Or maybe it's because I'm comparing it to last months box. It also sucked because I only really like 3 products out of the 5 but I suppose you can't please everyone! On a brighter note the 3 products I liked I will probably be purchasing in the near future so that's fabulous! I forgot to add that GlossyBox also gave me tuns of discount codes on every product to buy in full size (except the perfume) which was amazing but does that make up for the lack of full size products? As always I'm excited to see next months box and I'm hopeful for the return of some great full size products!

Drop me a comment below & let me know what your thoughts are and also what you got in this months Glossybox! XOXO
