As you guys know by now whenever theres a GlossyBox review it's always shortly followed by a Birchbox review. I will appologise in advance I actually received my box really early, on Friday morning there but I had a super busy weekend so it's coming to you guys Monday morning! (Better late than never!)
The theme of this months box is "Icons" basically the people who inspire us to be the best possible versions of ourselves. Which I think is a nice theme, makes me personally think of my mum! The box itself was your normal brown box with the white border. It came with the usual draw-string pouch with some turquoise this time, lovely! As always I keep all my little pouches! always good for toiletry bags when travelling? I guess BirchBox decided to keep the little keep sake cards because we have them again this month! (Personally I really like the idea!) In this months keep sake cards you get: words of wisdom, the agenda, the gift guide, the tutorial and share with us.
The five products I received this month:
Body Butter - Laura Mercier.
Replenishing Oat Shampoo - Weleda.
Hightlighter Pencil - Chella. (FULL SIZE)
Lip Define Fill - Lila'lli. (FULL SIZE)
Signature For Her, Eau De Parfum - English Laundry.
Lifestyle Extra - Selection Of Teas - Pukka Herbs. (X4)
Goodie - Pencil Sharpener - BirchBox.
Body Butter - Laura Mercier:
In last months box we received a Laura Mercier product which I adored, so when I heard that we would be receiving yet another of her products this month I was so excited! I received the body butter in "fresh fig". The body butter comes out pretty thick like most body butters but rubs in soft and effortlessly and doesn't take any time at all to soak in. The smell isn't very strong and isn't really my cup of tea I'm not keen on figs really anyway. Don't get me wrong the smell wouldn't put anyone off at all because it isn't over powering. Over all this was a very decent size sample, very nice elegant packaging and great product! You can buy this product for £26 full size fromwww.birchbox.co.uk
Replenishing Oat Shampoo - Weleda (18ml):
I knew we would all be receiving this product in our boxes this month because I seen the online spoiler! I have never tried any of the Weleda products before although I have heard of the brand previously. So this was a great opportunity for me to finally try some. I really like this product it has such a nice clean, fresh, therapeutic scent! Like most woman I use hair straighteners, curling irons, hair dye etc, so I put my hair through a lot of really straining stuff so I tend to always use dry & damaged shampoo for my hair. The product done exactly what it said it would so nothing bad to say about it! It's not overly pricey either which is always great. I would have maybe liked a bigger sample but nevertheless I was very pleased with this product! You can buy this full size product for £8.95 fromhttp://www.weleda.co.uk/
Hightlighter Pencil - Chella:
This is the first full size product I received in my box this month. I have never heard of the brand before, love trying out new things as always. I was going to a party on Saturday night so I thought it would be totally appropriate to try this out while doing my make-up! I applied it to my brow bone, cheek bone, cupids bow and the inner corners of my eyes and then blended with my finger and with the help of a brush. I was really surprised with the result it made a big difference to my make-up, it made my eyebrows more dramatic and stand out more. It highlighted all the right areas perfectly. It also was very creamy and blended well without much effort at all, I loved it! I believe this product came in three shades mines was "Ivory lace" Overall amazing little product! I will be buying in future! You can buy this product for £15.95 fromwww.birchbox.co.uk
Lip Define Fill - Lila'lli:
Woohoo another full size product in my box this month! I have never heard of the brand previous to my BirchBox so this was another new one for me. I received a waterproof pencil to define eyes or lips. As I said I was going to a party on Saturday night so again I thought it would be totally appropriate to try this out while doing my make-up. I got this in shade "One Night". Although it said you can use it on eyes I just used it on my lips. The colour is FABULOUS very bright girly pink/coral right up my street! It's a creamy pencil so it went on really smooth and lasted hours I am very pleased with this product. Also what a great size pencil as well this should last me a fair bit. Great packaging very sophisticated really happy overall! You can buy this product for £10 fromwww.birchbox.co.uk
Signature For Her, Eau De Parfum - English Laundry(2ml):
This product totally grabbed my attention with it's super bright pinkness! If you don't like pink then this could be a hit or a miss for you, it personally doesn't bother me. The packaging was okay pretty basic if you ask me. the sample screamed feminine. The scent was very sweet and warm. It has notes of quince, jasmine petals and musk. It is a very nice everyday kind of fragrance, nothing special that you would wear on special occasions but very nice for an everyday low budget fragrance! You can buy this full size perfume for £16 fromwww.birchbox.co.uk
Selection Of Teas - Pukka Herbs. (X4):
I adored tea, it's one of my favourite things I drink it every single day! So as you can imagine this suited me perfectly. I seen everyone else has 3 teas in there box but I actually received 4 (woohoo) I got 2 Earl Grey's, 1 Elderberry & Echinacea and 1 Three Cinnamon. Great little variety. I have never tried Pukka tea but boy have I been missing out! Thankyou BirchBox for introducing me.You basically pop them in your cup, add hot water, leave to stew for a couple minutes and add milk if you wish...Simple! I personally adored Earl Grey, but the other two flavors are also wonderful. The cinnamon one also got me in the festive spirit haha! Overall LOVED,LOVED ,LOVED this product I will be purchasing again! Great lifestyle extra. You can buy these products for £2.29 fromwww.birchbox.co.uk
Pencil Sharpener - BirchBox:
Finally I received this little goodie in my box. I was actually looking for a new sharpener and BirchBox answered my prayers! This sharpener caters to small and large pencils best of both worlds haha! It came in this very luxurious packaging very nice touch! Great little added extra. You can buy this product for £3 from www.birchbox.co.uk
My Overall Opinion Of This Month's Box:
I could not be any happier with November's box it is easily one of the best boxes I have ever received so far! I loved every single product, I have not one bad word to say about the box what so ever. I think I got a very good selection picked for me this month. I also received two full size products so they have definitely upped there game this month!
