Hey everyone! It's that time again, my review on my monthly subscription box!
My November GlossyBox literally got delivered yesterday & I tried and tested all of my products especially for you guys. Mainly because I'm always beyond late at doing my blog reviews, bare with me guys I'm getting better at it!
The theme for this months box was "Glossy Wishlist" the name itself gets me totally excited for the Christmas season! I like the theme because after all this is the month in which we are wishing and wanting and planning our Christmas lists. Again this month the box itself was the light, plain, pale pink colour with black inside. It came with the standard usual mini magazine, this months was entitled "GLOSSY Magazine". It has as always, some discount codes for various things, editor's letter, interviews, trends and loads more detailed info on your products. This month it also shows the reader the up and coming limited edition one off boxes! (ooooooh)
The five products I received this month:
Idealia Life Serum - Vichy. (X3)
Micronized Eyeshadow - Emite Make-up. (FULL SIZE)
Hand Cream - Yves Rocher France. (FULL SIZE)
Nail Polish Remover Pads - Elegant Touch. (FULL SIZE)
Kukui Eau de Parfume - Connock London.
Idealia Life Serum - Vichy(X3):
The first product wasn't a surprise because I had seen the online spoiler, so I knew everyone would be receiving these three products in there boxes this month. I must say I was very happy when I seen that these THREE products were only counted as ONE of your five products! (YAAAAAY!) We received 3, 3ml little sample tubes which is fine considering you are getting three of them. This was a new brand for me so I was looking forward to trying the products out. I must say the two "Idealia life serums" were wonderful they soaked into the sink quickly and didn't leave any shine or stickiness, so you didn't feel like you had anything on your skin (which is always great!) It made my skin feel smooth and more energized. The "Smoothing And Illuminating Cream" was fabulous also! Would I re-purchase? Well to be honest I don't see anything particularly special about these products or any "WOW" factor so probably not. Ofcourse that's just my opinion but you can purchase these products from www.boots.comfor £29.50 for 30ml
Micronized Eyeshadow - Emite Make-up:
This is the first full size product I seen in my box this month. This is a swedish brand so I had never heard of it before the eye shadow is oil, nickel, paraben and perfume free! Great for anyone with allergies I guess. It is also said to be ideal for people who wear contact lenses or people who have sensitive eyes, I personally have none of the above but its pretty awesome for people who do. I personally am the biggest fan of the Urban Decay palettes and I NEVER stray but I did however try this product out. I got it in the shade "NECT" which was a pearly, pink colour. It was sparkly and very smooth and fine, it wasn't too pigmented but I wasn't head over heels for it, it wasn't anything to die for. The retail price for such an average product was also pretty shocking! The packaging in my opinion also let's it down, I couldn't really make the name out on it because it is kind of engraved into the lid. Beyond Boring and dull if you ask me not eye catching or attention grabbing at all. You can purchase this product for £16.80 fromwww.emitemakeup.com
Hand Cream - Yves Rocher France:
This is the second full size product I received in my box. Again I have never heard of the brand before and I always love trying out new things. With the winter season approaching quickly we are all buying or winter essentials and hand cream is always on my list so I was happy when I saw this in my box. I seen everyone also got this hand cream in there boxes but in different scents. I received "Cocoa & Raspberry" one word, AMAZING! I must admit I probably don't look after my hands as well as I should but I will be now, This was my favorite product in the whole box. The packaging was great and the actual size of the bottle was too. The hand cream made my hands feel soft and soaked into my hands with ease and the scent is delicious I could have eaten my hand off! the smell stayed with me for hours! I could not believe the price,it is soooo cheap for such a lovely, expensive feeling product. I will without a doubt be re-purchasing in the future and also trying out some other scents! You can buy this product for an amazingd £1.95 fromwww.yves-rocher.co.uk
Nail Polish Remover Pads - Elegant Touch (pack of 20):
This is yet another full size product! I must admit I was pretty disheartened when I seen that other people received quick drying nail polish spray I would soooo have preferred that because I LOVE it! Oh well short straw on that one I guess just the luck of the draw. I do like the idea of nail polish remover pads it sounds so effortless and handy but in actual fact if you're like me, and wear glittery nail polish a lot it sucks beyond belief! YES, it can shift normal nail polish with ease. Nonetheless I can't complain they do exactly what they say, minus of course glitter or nail polish with bits in it. I will probably use them when I have normal coloured nail polish on! You can buy this product for £2 from New Look, Superdrug or Boots.
Kukui Eau de Parfume - Connock London:
Before I begin I must express my disappointment, when I went to spray the sample I only had less than half full of the tiny bottle. Not pleased. Mainly considering I could walk into most perfume selling stores and pick up a full sample for free!! and of course this was one of my products! Getting past that horrible start the perfume itself actually smells wonderful! It has Gardenia,Jasmine,Calla Lily and a hint of wood smell. Very distinctive and warm. The full size bottle also is very sophisticated looking. I did really enjoy the smell and it lasted for hours, it is however on the pricey side! Not sure if I can see it being my must have perfume this Chirstmas but definetely a beautiful perfume! You can buy this product for £75 fromwww.connocklondon.com
My Overall Opinion Of This Months Box:
So there you have it! I think GlossyBox have stepped up they're game with this months box it's a massive improvement from 0 full size products to 3! overall the selection was good not amazing because when I seen other peoples boxes I would have preferred the quick drying nail varnish spray and also some people got lipstick, nail polish! (sorry to sound moany!) As I always say you can't please everyone! The value for money as always was great and the theme was good! It was a great box this month and I cannot wait for the Christmas box!!
