I was moaning on Tuesday that my GlossyBox still hadn't arrived yet and low and behold it, it turned up yesterday. So I took today and tried all of my products out so I could review them for you guys.
The theme for this months box was of course "festive treasures". I LOVE THE BOX DESIGN AND THE INSIDE. So perfect for a Christmas box. (I'm totally keeping this one) As always it came with the mini magazine, which basically has some discount codes, editors letter,interviews,tutorials,trends and loads more detailed information about the products you received in this months box.
The first product I received in this months box was from a totally new brand. On first impressions I knew I was going to love this lip gloss because I always go for nude shade glosses. So this was well and truly a hit with me. It is really the perfect shade for anyone, so a crowd pleaser. We received a half size lip gloss which I was happy with great for putting in your pocket,purse,bag etc. Great sample size as you'll get a good few uses out of it. I tried it on and wore it out to a family Christmas dinner and it was beautiful, I will post some swatches below. It claimed it was a "non sticky" lip gloss but I don't 100% agree with that because it was a little sticky, nothing major though very endurable. Naturals Razor - Wilkinson Sword Intuition:
This is the first full size item I received in my box this month. I heard a lot of people weren't happy with this because it wasn't a "high end" product. I think they're missing the point, GlossyBox is giving us the chance to try out this new product which I love. I'm glad I got to try this because I have sensitive skin when shaving and tend to get left with blade marks/cuts. I had no trouble at all with this and the aloe vera worked wonders, not much else to say it done exactly what it was meant to. Definitely will be re-purchasing ASAP. Colour Tattoo 24hr Eye Shadow - Maybelline New York:
Another full size product YAY! I have actually seen this product in boots and have been going to pick it up a few times but never got round to it as I didn't really need it. So I was pleased when I seen this in my box. I seen some other people got this product in some really bright outrageous shades and I was worried because I would never,ever wear them. I must've been lucky because I got it in GOLD. You can't really ask for a better shade for the festive period. I personally wear a lot of rose gold jewellery and I always stick to gold shade eyeshadows so this was an unbelievably spot on pick for me! I tried it out with my make-up today and It was fabulous. Very vibrant and super sparkly. As the title suggests "colour tattoo" it stayed on all night AMAZING. Such a fabulous colour for an eyeshadow base and for such a low cost price! Seche Nail Lacquer - Seche: The third and final full size product I received in my box was a beautiful coral coloured nail polish by a new brand. By now you should all know how much I adore anything coral coloured. So obviously this was a wonderful colour choice. The coverage of the nail polish was fabulous I only had to apply one coat and it dried super quickly. Very happy with how true to colour it stayed. Overall a very good nail polish and I'm very happy I got to try out a new brand in the process. Will probably re-purchase this when it runs out. Active Reverse Resurface & Refine Ultra Polish - Sanctuary Spa:
I always like to try new stuff so this looked interesting. The packaging was beautiful. I received a very generous size sample which I was pleased with. The instructions said to "massage into damp skin,focus on areas of concern and then rinse off". After doing so my skin felt ultra smooth. I think the product has a sherbet scent which is delicious. Overall I am very happy I got to try this very relaxing product I'm not sure if it fits my needs but I will continue to use it and see how it goes. My Overall Opinion Of This Months Box:
I am soooo pleased with my box this month. Very,very happy with all products and selection. 100% satisfied with colour choice. Three fabulous full size products, what more could I ask for. All of which I enjoyed using and will continue to use and re-purchase. Can't honestly say a bad thing about this months box other than delivery was pretty late but the main thing is I got it eventually and it was worth the wait. I'm not sure if they can top this box next month but I am looking forward to my first box of 2014 and even better as I've collected 1000 GlossyBox points, my January box is FREE.
