Snowing in February? Duuuh it's Britain. I hope everybody is well, on this freezing Wednesday! I went shopping this weekend as I'm going away for valentines weekend and surprise, surprise ended up in Debenhams. It seems to be the story of my life these days, I say "I won't buy anymore make-up, I've got enough." Before you know it I've got a wish list the size of my arm. It's an addiction yes, but a girl can never have TOO much make-up and I won't change anytime soon.
I have been really into neutral looks recently and decided I needed a new nude lipstick. I searched the web looking on youtube/blogs etc, and finally came to the conclusion that 'Mac Myth Lipstick' came up a lot and was heavily hyped online. So I went to the Mac store and there were loads of nudes in different textures. I swatched a few and tried some on, I have quite bright pink lips so cremesheen nudes didn't work for me at all. Sadly 'Myth' was far too light for my skin tone, it basically looked like concealer on my lips (eww) In the end "Matte" shades worked best to cover my lip colour and I purchased a nude shade called "HoneyLove".
HoneyLove
Is as I said a matte lipstick. It is a light warm beige tone with a slight pinky rose undertone. I have olive skin and although it looks really dark brown it is deceiving, here's some swatches.
Flash. Without Flash.
As you can probably see it is a very pigmented lipstick and gives amazing coverage and lasts hours. Although it is a matte lipstick, It doesn't dry my lips out at all. I personally think this shade would suit most skin tones. The packaging is the normal Mac packaging which is clean and lovely. I would team this lipstick with a lip gloss for extra shine. (I love me some lip gloss) Overall I am very happy with my purchase and I love the colour. Nudes are without a doubt my new favourites, wearable everyday and add gloss to turn it into an evening or going out look. Cause let's be honest Kim K makes nude lips look fabulous 24/7. This lipstick cost me £15.00!
Are you looking for a new nude lipstick? I hope this helped. Or do you own HoneyLove whats your opinion, I'd love to hear it? What Nude Lipsticks do you recommend? As always Thank you for reading.
