Oh! and HELLO TO MY FELLOW ARIES OUT THERE! April being one of my favourite months and all, I was really excited to see what would be in my boxes this month. I've been receiving my subscription boxes super early these days and I'm really happy about this because I'm pretty impatient when it comes to deliveries haha.
The theme of this months box was "Good Enough To Eat." Let's be honest April is a month we all eat more than we really should, especially chocolate! Nothing we can do though, it's Easter. This month we we're all given the choice of choosing our shade of nail polish we wanted out of a possible four, which I thought was a great idea. The four shades were: Gold Struck - a soft gold shade, Aquamarine Azulino - a pastel baby blue shade, Breakfast At... - a pearly green shade and finally, Heirloom Pearls - a shimmery ivory shade. For me I already have tuns of gold and pearl shades so it was a toss up between the green or blue, but I went for 'Aquamarine Azulino' purely because I was in need of a new baby blue shade.
The Five Products I Received This Month:

How 'Bout Them Apples?' Cheek & Lip Cream - TheBalm Cosmetics:
I was over the moon when I seen this in my box as I have been torn for ages on whether or not to buy the palette and I'm so happy I finally got to try this cute little tester. First things first I adore the packaging it really makes the product in all honesty.TheBalm Cosmetics products are all on point when it comes to packaging which I really appreciate because I'm a sucker for good packaging. I got mines in the shade (apple)'Pie' which ties in nicely with the whole concept. It's a gorgeous super creamy 'Fuchsia' shade that is to die for. I love how easy to use it is I've used it on both my lips and cheeks and prefer it on my cheeks for a pop of colour. It's also really build able so you can make a simple look or bold statement with this. This is perfect for touch ups through out the day or when your on the go. I really love this product and can definitely see myself caving and buying the full size palette! You can buy the full size product for £26.
Couture Kohl Kajal Eye Pencil - Lord & Berry:
This is a new brand for me so I was looking forward to trying something new. Me personally, I don't really spend too much money on eye liner pencils. Mainly because I focus more on liquid eyeliner and I just use an average jet black one to line my inner lids and that's it. They don't really excite me in any way they're pretty boring to me actually. So when I seen this little sample in my box I wasn't phased at all but it's always nice to have a spare haha. This pencil however was not my cup of tea, I like my eyes to look precise and smudge free at all times I've got a bit of OCD when it comes to that, and this one stays anywhere but my eyes haha. I looked like I'd been either rubbing my eyes or wearing last nights make-up on my walk of shame. Definitely not digging the baby panda look (Sorry!) This is a no from me. You can buy the full size product for £10!
Gala's Gems Nail Polish - Colour Club:
Another new brand for me to try, that did not disappoint! As I said earlier I picked my shade in 'Aquamarine Azulino' which is a beautiful pastel baby blue shade. I'm all about my pastel shades so this was right up my street and when I seen this colour on my nails it was gorgeous! As soon as my box arrived this was the first thing on my to do list and on my nails it went. It dries super quickly which is a huge tick in the box for fidgets like myself. (Always end up with nail polish all over my hands and phone case haha!) I applied the standard two coats but you could probably get away with one as the coverage is amazing. I really love this nail polish so I could definitely see me purchasing the whole set at only £15 for all four . Which works out just under £4 each! Excellent value for money.
Pomegranate & Orange Flower Shampoo - TommyGuns:
This is the first and only full size product I received in this months box and actually unexpectedly one of my favourites. I have never heard of the brand and really loved the simple yet gorgeous packaging. The scent is dreamy and I don't own any like it so I couldn't wait to try it out. pomegranate is said to help gently cleanse whilst protecting your hair from the harsh environment and orange flower to soothe and bring out the natural shine whilst highlighting fairer tones. So basically I was in need of all of the above haha! I applied to wet hair and rinsed and done all the other rigmarole and after blow drying etc my hair smelt, looked and felt unbelievable. I know by looking at it, it doesn't seem much but your misjudging it's potential completely. The shine I had was incredible and you'd be surprised how hard it is to achieve a nice shine with platinum hair. My hair was also so soft and free from frizz! This simple life saver has answered all my prayers and was definitely a dark horse. You can buy this product for £5.5o!
Skin Savior Waterless Beauty Balm - One Love Organics:
This product really intrigued me, because it's not what I expected. I seen the packaging and automatically assumed that it would be a boring old moisturiser. I WAS WRONG, SO WRONG. This little beauty is like nothing else I own. It's a 'Do All Balm' it can; remove make-up,cleanse and moisturise skin it's completely multi-purpose. I must admit I was a little sceptical about it, with it being a 'balm' and all because you wouldn't normally associate it with those tasks. Also this is a natural balm that is formulated with pure, cold-pressed plant oils, rich mango butter and three critical extracts to break down dirt and make-up. It cleanses without stripping the skin's protective layer and is free from nasties. I am totally head over heels in love, smitten. It smells so vibrant and citrusy as well as being silky smooth. A little definitely goes a long way with this one. You take some product and warm it in your palms and apply to the face in circular motions. I really can't shut up about this little pot of gold, it's an essential that can do so much. I also love the aspect of no water being needed. I will 100% be buying the full size product, it's a little pricey but so worth it £30!
LIFESTYLE EXTRA - PROPERCORN:
I love popcorn as much as the next person but this isn't your average sweet or salty, no. This is 'Fiery Worcester Sauce & Sun Dried Tomato' flavoured popcorn. I was a little weirded out by imagining these flavours in popcorn form but curiosity killed the cat. THESE WERE AH - MAZING! Once I started eating them I couldn't stop they were so tasty and guilt free at under 40 calories YAY! I wanted more. I definitely would purchase these at only 90p!
Overall Opinion:
This months box was a definite success for me! I am really happy with it but I usually am with Birchbox. I feel the product selection is on point this month as there's something for all aspects e.g. make-up,skin,hair,food = Full Body Happiness haha! I also got a full size product which is always great. My favourites this month are all of them except the eye liner really. It's without a doubt strong box to beat! Top marks for quick delivery again. BRING ON MAY!
