One of my hardest make-up decisions everyday, and probably most of you guys is 'What colour of lipstick do I want to wear'. It can be really frustrating at times and I usually find myself reaching for my boring trusty shades, which finally lead me to take the plunge and get some new additions to my collection.
I seen tuns of great reviews and videos on NYX products and some products are heavily hyped. I was totally unfamiliar with the brand and found out that "NEXT" shops in the UK have started selling they're products in store and was super excited. I went to three different shops and they didn't really have much stock so I decided to order online on the NYX website. As you can see, I ordered some lip pencils, lip sticks and finally some lip creams and butter gloss.
Slim Lip Pencils:
First things first I feel the swatches are REALLY terrible, I found it pretty hard to choose shades to match my lipsticks. There is so many to choose from which is great so after looking I picked five : Purple Rain, Auburn, Deep Purple, Natural and Coral. I could've picked so much more but I managed to refrain myself haha. Sometimes it's hard to pick the right lip liners as some can be very hard and don't pay off a lot of colour but these are BEYONDperfect! These are so soft and glide across my lips effortlessly and the colour pay off is amazing. I use these every single day now and haven't went near my old ones since. I will be buying tuns more in the future no doubt about it these are my new favourites and it will be hard to beat them. The value for money is incredible at only £3.50 each! This is a beautiful dark red/brown colour perfect to tone down any red lippy!
I love coral & I wear a lot of it so this colour is perfect for me & it also has a shimmer to it!
This is a purple/red shade and is perfect for a purple or red lippy!
Ahh, how gorgeous is 'Purple Rain' this also happens to be my favourite cocktail haha and I love this just as much! It's a beautiful vibrant pinky/purple it's perfect for summer I team this with a purple lipstick or pink for that bright summer lip.
Lastly my favourite shade 'Natural' I wear this for my everyday look and it's perfect teamed with my nude lipsticks, it looks darker in the swatch but believe me it's flawless!
Round Lipstick (Dark Colours):
A girl can never have too many lipsticks so I thought I'd add to my collection with a classic red lippy and a new purple one. I don't tend to wear purple lipstick so this was a first for me and the swatches again online weren't great so I found it a little difficult. I went with two shades "Pandora" and "Snow White". NYX have amazing colour selections, there is so much variety I wanted it all haha.
I absolutely love them! The packaging is lovely and sleek, and these lipsticks are mineral based so they offer a beautiful velvet texture. I found these lipsticks very hydrating on my lips and didn't dry them out at all throughout the day. They are totally smudge proof they hardly budged at all which is a bonus. These are definitely a trusty go to lipstick and I will be purchasing many more as the colour selections is UNBELIEVABLE! These only cost £4.00 so definitely won't break the bank or make you feel guilty.

'Snow White' is such a gorgeous blood red lip that would suit any skin tone!
'Pandora' is such a pretty shade and is light purple and shiny and is just plain gorgeous! This is my favourite.
Soft Matte Lip Cream:
I was really excited to try these as these are pretty heavily hyped online and they sounded different from anything I've ever tried before. These aren't lipstick or lip gloss but lip cream, it's a new kind of 'pout paint' that goes on silky smooth and then sets to a matte finish. Sounds amazing right? It doesn't disappoint, I am so far head over heels for these it's unreal haha. These come in 36 shades and I went with 'Istanbul' and 'Abu Dhabi'. (As you've maybe guessed there all named after cities around the world.)
First of all these smell to die for, definitely good enough to eat..or lick haha. They smell like sweet cupcakes or something deliciously sweet anyway. I think these are my favourite out of the whole haul, I adore them that much. The colours are truly beautiful and I love how they look and feel on my lips. Unlike other matte lipstick formula's these are incredibly not drying on the lips and very durable. They really tick all the boxes for me. I want to buy them all! These are also super affordable at only £5.50!
'Abu Dhabi' is such an amazing shade, I love this for a nude lip look.
'Istanbul' is very deceiving on the outside but once applied its a barbie pink, gorgeous for summer.
Butter Gloss:
I have a huge obsession with lip gloss I really couldn't live without it, but sometimes they can be annoyingly sticky and on a windy day that's just the ultimate nightmare as your hair sticks to it ugggh. If your like me and that drives you crazy than I've found the answer and that's NYX Butter gloss. This lip gloss smells insane like a sugar cookie and gives you medium coverage on the lips without ANY stickiness. It hydrates and gives my lips more volume and I wear it alone or on top of a lipstick.
This is a huge hit with me as I don't have to worry about my hair being covered in it at the end of the day and it looks fabulous. This comes in twelve shades so there is a great selection to choose from, I went for 'Tiramisu'. I absolutely love that they are all named after desserts so appropriate. These little beauties cost £5.00!

As you can see 'Tiramisu' is a lovely pink neutral colour that's delicate enough to go with anything!
Xtreme Lip Cream:
Eeek! I was soo excited to try this product again as it sounded like something I've never tried or heard of before. It's not lipstick or lip gloss but LIQUID LIPSTICK, yeah you heard me right. So basically it has the same pigmentation as lipstick and the high shine of lip gloss combined in one to form liquid lipstick, how fancy? It's the lip cream to kill all lipstick,lip gloss and lip stains. It comes in 11 glorious shades.
I chose mines in the shade 'Nude Peach Fuzz'. Shine you say? My lips were GLEAMING. WOW indeed. I love the consistency and the whole thing really it's long wearing, non sticky and very,very shiny. Totally appropriate if your looking to POP your make-up look and add more glam. I couldn't love this anymore if I tried to be honest it's perfect! You can buy this for £7.o0 and I suggest you do.

Overall Opinion:
I am totally in amazement with how incredible this brand is, it definitely deserves more recognition. I can't believe it's took me this long to discover it for myself I was totally missing out. I am so happy with all my purchases and don't have a single bad thing to say other than the online swatches could be a little better. Although I guarantee not matter what shade you buy it would be amazing. I can see me and NYX having a long,long beautiful friendship and the prices are sensational no more guilty little me. I literally use these products more than a lot of my high end products and see just as good results if not better some times. I highly recommend NYX and I am looking forward to trying more of there products ASAP haha!
