Seeing as we're drawing nearer to half way through the year ALREADY, I wanted to reflect back on my year so far. I also thought it was relevant to let you guys have some insight into my personal life and what better way than through photos, am I right? This is just a nice simple post that I hope you guys enjoy and hopefully get to know me a little better!
To kick things off, It was my boyfriends birthday at the start of the year and because he's not just anybody I decided to make his birthday cake and It's pretty awesome if I do say so myself! Mmmmmmm.
I have two dogs currently (Yorkshire terriers) but I have always wanted a terrapin (turtle) since I can remember. Finally after so long I got this little guy and called him George, he's sooooo adorable. He honestly makes me so happy, he's got this cute little face and is always smiling and has his own little personality. Also whoever said turtles are slow are liars he's so fast I have to keep tabs on him all the time when i let him out around the house haha! He loves to sleep in my hand as you can see above and he's still a mommas boy, he melts my heart awwwww.
In March my beautiful little princess Heather (My boyfriends little sister) turned 1! It's funny everyone always asks if this is my baby, must be the hair? haha. She had such a fab time and was totally spoiled! I can't believe how big she's getting and becoming her own little person. She's also nearly walking and talking and I still can't believe where the time has gone.
In March, I also got a brand new tattoo! I already have one that I got for my 18th birthday last year and have been wanting another one and finally took the plunge. As you can see I got a gorgeous blue rose with roman numerals. The roman numerals stand for "13" why? I was born on Friday the 13th and 13 is my lucky number. It has brought me so much luck throughout my life and means a lot to me. I have a really high pain tolerance and this tattoo took 3 hours of PURE AGONY. It isn't really on my ankle it's more my shin and honestly I couldn't do it again if you paid me haha! Don't get me wrong I acted tough while getting it done but it brought tears to my eyes for sure. It swelled tons, bled and ran ink and it took really long to heal but it's fully healed now and looking unbelievable and well worth all the pain. My tattoo artist Alex kicked ass also he's insanely talented!
I finally got a chance to go to the new venue built in Glasgow called "The SSE Hydro". I went to see the comedian Russel Howard and also Backstreet Boys haha DON'T JUDGE ME! It is absolutely gorgeous from the outside especially lit up at night. Definitely an amazing venue! I will be back.
Eeeek! Me & Stuarts first holiday away got booked up a couple of months ago for Lanzarote and I am beyond excited. I can't wait for two weeks away from everything... BLISS! The 18th of June cannot come quick enough. I am in desperate need of a tan and I will be on the beach reading a book with my favourite person, it doesn't get any better than that.
In April I turned 19 and I had a great night out with all my friends. I got dolled up and played some ring of fire (drinking games) and hit the town and well the rest is probably predictable and messy haha. I was spoiled as usual! It's totally scary to think that next year I will no longer be a teenager, I can't deal with that haha. I thought it was only right to take a birthday selfie haha! Really being nineteen doesn't feel any different.
Last year I attended one of Scotland's biggest festivals "T In The Park". I love attending gigs, I'm always seeing someone and I never break the tradition as I love festivals just as much. So my better half bought me full weekend tickets for Wireless festival for my birthday and I am sooooo excited! I come back from my holidays and then the next day I'm off to this. The line up is so insane! I am beyond excited to see KANYE WEST.
I am a totally daddy's girl and it's always lovely when I get to spend time with my old man. I am ride or die for my family and this picture is one of my favourites of me and my dad at a family party recently.
Finally! A couple of weeks ago I launched my own little make-up artistry business and I couldn't be more happier. I have been thinking about it for a while now but I finally got the courage to do it and I can't believe how supportive everyone has been and how well it is currently doing. Make-up is my passion and there is no better feeling than a happy customer and making someone feel more confident and even more beautiful about themselves. It's also so amazing to hear such nice compliments and seeing the transformations. Above is a picture of my business cards which I adore they turned out so much better than I thought thanks to VISTA PRINT! I hope my venture continues to do well and hope I can have the success that I am aiming for.
