Birchbox Review! (June)

28

Hey Everyone!

I'm sure you are well aware that the World Cup kicked off on Thursday in Brazil? Birchbox were very excited about this and took full advantage and made it there inspiration for this month's box. I seen some spoilers online and could not wait to get my hands on it! Birchbox never fails to impress me.

As soon as I opened up the box I was greeted with a beautiful vibrant Brazilian themed draw string pouch to get us all into the spirit of the world cup.

The Five Products I Received This Month:

Lait-Creme Concentre - Embryolisse. (5ml)
Shea Butter Hair Mask - Silk & Honey.
Nail Lacquer - The Brazil Collection - O.P.I (3.75ml)
Sheer Botanical Lipstick - YVES Rocher. (FULL SIZE)
Body Radiance Lotion - Naobay. (30ml)

LIFESTYLE EXTRA
Brazil Inspired Keyring.

Lait-Creme Concentre - Embryolisse:

I couldn't even pronounce this so I had no idea what it was until I read the Birchbox cards. This is a moisturiser from a cult french brand that is new to me, so I was excited to try it in with my skincare routine. It's a light weight moisturiser which is very soothing to the skin. I really enjoyed how it felt on my face and soaked in really quickly. It was just enough hydration without feeling caked in it. Overall was a good moisturiser but nothing overly special, to be honest moisturiser is pretty boring in general. I would consider buying this as I really liked how lightweight it was! You can buy the full size for £12.99!

Shea Butter Hair Mask -  Silk & Honey:

I love hair masks, so this was a great product for me straight away and I really happy with the sample size considering this is a really pricey product! The thing that I found amazing about this new to me brand "Silk & Honey" is that they sell D.I.Y kits. Which include making your own hair masks, lip glosses, body cream and hand cream how amazing is that! I love this aspect because you get to see what goes into the products and it would be loads of fun. This sample is a deeply nourishing mask that protects and softens hair, while fortifying it's elasticity and it done EXACTLY that. I use hair masks at least once a week because it really does benefit my hair. This one smells absolutely gorgeous and I love how it's natural and made by hand. I leave this on for 15 minutes because my hair needs some extra love and rinse off, and my hair is reborn again haha! It's a definite hit with me except for it's price tag but I guess it's justifiable when you can make a few with the kit. You can buy the full size for £55!

Nail Lacquer - The Brazil Collection - O.P.I:

I was really excited to see this in my box because I love me some O.P.I and I was needing a new shade in my life. I got my nail polish in this gorgeous hot pink shade called "Kiss me I'm Brazilian" It's such a perfect shade for summer and I've decided I will be sporting this on holiday! The consistency is really good and is full coverage after applying two coats. I really want to buy the Brazil collection as it looks amazing!
You can buy the full size for £11.95!

Sheer Botanical Lipstick - YVES Rocher:

I really like YVES Rocher products so I was chuffed when the I got a full size product from them. This is a very fruity scented lipstick and it's star ingredient is cherry oil, Which makes my mouth water it smells so yummy. This not only makes lips smell delicious, it's rich in omega 6 and 9 which nourish and protect. Joined by fellow botanical emollients like candelilla wax, I'm borderline-obsessed with the buttery, silky-smooth finish. This is a "sheer" lipstick so it's great for everyday wear or if your going for a natural/minimal look. I like to apply to my lips whenever they need some moisture or a little boost of colour. I am head over heels for this product and it has to be my favourite in this months box! You can buy this for £9.90!

Body Radiance Lotion - Naobay:

This is a new brand for me, all the way from Spain. This is a lemony fresh organic body lotion with shea butter, olive and avocado oils. All that good stuff leaves your skin feeling silky smooth. I massaged this light lotion over my body and smelt like a lemony sherbet dip. I personally like lemon scented thing but if you don't this product is definitely NOT for you! The sample size was also great. This was a really refreshing body lotion that I would considering buying again, it would be great whenever my bodies needing a pick me up. You can buy the full size for £14!

LIFESTYLE EXTRA:

I really loved this cute little lifestyle extra this month. It was a fun little flip-flop with the Brazil colours, enough to brighten up anyones bag. I couldn't wait to attach it to my house keys haha!

Overall Opinion:

I think Birchbox had a high standard to beat after last months amazing box which was one of my all-time favourites so far! I really enjoyed the theme this month and felt it throughout the products and like how relevant it was. I was sadly a little bit disappointed with my product selection as I had my heart set on a new beauty blender to replace my old one and never received one! I seem to be the only person that didn't. I am pretty happy with everything else though and thought it was a good box. I wouldn't say any products changed my life in this box and I'm in no rush to buy any of the full size of these products. ROLL ON JULY!
