The last and final part of my "Holiday Haul" post, is all about the toiletries. This is the most exciting part of holiday prep for me personally. I buy tuns of stuff even although it's ONLY two weeks and cry later when my case is over weight.
Me & my better half wrote a huge list of everything we needed and we picked up the essentials first like: Plasters, painkillers, shavers, toothpaste, toothbrushes, wipes etc. Pretty much the basic needs. Then it came down to my forte all the lotions and potions.
Here's some of the toiletries I picked up recently!
The first thing I picked up was my sun creams and tanning oils. I have olive skin, so I tan really well so I've been using "Hawaiian Tropic" forever it's my favourite. It works wonders and smells of coconut mmmm! The Garnier one is what I'll start with so I don't burn and work my way onto the oils. I ALWAYS use factor 50 on my face at all times as well as my tattoos because the sun is ageing and very dangerous so I'm always extra cautious!
I hate when you go on holiday and everybody knows it's your first day because you're so pasty and resemble a milk bottle. I always think it's essential to build up a natural looking gradual tan a week or two before your holiday. So that when you step off that plan you already fit in with your sun kissed skin! My ALL-TIME favourite gradual tan is Dove's "Summer Glow" nourishing lotion in Medium to Dark. It ticks all the boxes for me it's a beautiful colour, smells amazing and hydrates your skin, PERFECT!
I've been wanting to try the new Herbal Essences shampoo & conditioner with "moroccan argan oil" in it for a while now, but I have so many other shampoos & conditioners lying around that I never need any. My hair gets really dry and damaged with the sun on holiday and I thought it would need some extra TLC and this was the best time to test it out!
Me and my boyfriend both agree on this being our favourite shower gel. It smells to die for and has this lovely tingling sensation, makes your skin feel spotless!
I seen some miniatures and couldn't resist! Dry Shampoo is essential for me on holiday, even although I wash my hair everyday on holiday it gives my flat hair some extra needed volume and is good for a quick refresh. I have always been sceptical about "compressed" cans of deodorant and if they really are the same as the normal size. I thought now was the best time to test them.
I done a review the other day on this and you can check it out here! This is so perfect for going on holiday because you want to get the most out of your holiday and it's too hot to be stuck inside for ages. You can jump out the shower and spray this on and your ready to shove your clothes back on in a minute! No stickiness and it still gives you the hydration your body needs. Not to forget you'll smell fabulous!
Doing everything to prevent my hair from anymore damage on holiday is very important. The heat does serious damage to my already poor hair. I use on a daily basis Andrew Barton's "Blonde's Have More Fun" Heat spray. It works great with my hair and also smells like pink lemonade mmm! My hair is beyond flat here but when I go abroad it resembles a bush. I have no idea why this happens but it's a nightmare to tame so I use Andrew Bartons "The Frizz Tamer" Mousse before blow drying and it keeps my hair under control. Once a week I always use a hair mask on my hair and my favourite at the moment is Bleach London's "Reincarnation Mask". I know my hair will need saving on holiday and this is my S.O.S in a tube. Finally I use some oil on my hair before blow drying on a daily basis so I will continue to do so on holiday!
I use Garnier's Micellar cleansing water to remove my make-up so of course this will be in my toiletries. I am a total skincare junkie and usually I use loads of lotions and potions on my face but because I have a baggage allowance, I have restrained myself and I only need these two cult classics to look after my face abroad.
I find my lips take a huge knock on holiday. The heat burns, dries and cracks them, so I'm always one step ahead with protecting them. I'm taking my trusty collection of EOS lip balms because they're so cute and simply amazing. They're so easy for travel as you just twist of the lid and apply to your lips. No mess or sticky fingers, just luscious gorgeous scented lips. I'm also going to take my bubblegum lip scrub from LUSH, I use this on a daily basis so I need this! Finally I'm taking my pink baby lips by Maybelline. The colour pay off is one of my favourite looks and it's so simply to achieve while hydrating my lips and smells wonderful it's a must!
So there you have it SOME of my toiletries! That's the end of my Holiday Haul what do you think? Let me know in a comment below! As always Thank You for reading.
